Ten Commandments of Prosperity
Compiled by Shemuel B. Israel, D.C.
- Stop looking outside yourself for your supply. You are the author of your life. (You Shall Have No other Gods).
- You shall make no mental images of lack or limitation. “You cannot hold the mental image which will make you rich if you fill your mind with pictures of poverty. Get pictures of wealth into the mind of the poor. Do not talk about poverty; do not investigate it, or concern yourself with it.”- Wattles (No Graven Images)
- You shall not speak the word of limitation or lack. “Do not waste time thinking or talking about the shortcomings or wrong actions of the common, the ordinary, the poor, and the squalid and mean.”- Wattles (Do not Use God’s Name in Vain)[pay-prem]
- Remember to take a rest. Practice the free day habit (a 24 hour period spent away from all work-related thinking, communication, and action). It provides you a fresh store of energy to fuel your creativity. (Remember the Sabbath Day)
- Deal honorably with yourself and others. Master your environment and your destiny. Do not try to rule over your fellow man. (Honor your Father and Mother)
- Do not take your wealth out of circulation. Practice the law of increase. “Give every man more in use value than the cash value you take from him.”- Wattles (Do not Kill)
- Do not allow impurities, obstacles, or limitations to cause stagnation of your body and mind. When they are present, remove them. (Do not Commit Adultery)
- You shall not seek something for nothing. When the thing you want reaches you, it will be in the hands of other men and women. They will ask for an equivalent for them. Prepare for the reception of your desires. (Do not Steal)
- You shall not bear false witness against the source of your wealth. The power that creates wealth is your consciousness of self-worth. (Do Not Bear False Witness)
- You shall not limit yourself by coveting another person’s wealth. Use your ability to fully enjoy and appreciate what is around you and what you already have. “You are to create, not to compete. You must get rid of the thought of competition.” – Wattles (Do not Covet)
